THE LAST TUESDAY
Now we are talking about the last tuesday, (9-april-2013).
We went to see some buildings that follow the laws of geometry.
We went with our teachers of maths(César and Ana) and our language assistant(Erica).
We walked around Plasencia and we saw:
-Circular manhole(s). We saw circular manhole(s) that are always circular, so that the people that are in the hole don't have an accident.
-Fountain with the shape of an octogonal prism. The fountain has an octogonal base. To measure the capacity of this you must discover the volume.
-Stairs. There is a law that says that the stairs have a determinate measurement.
-Ramp. Is the same, it has got another law to build this
-The main square. We measure how many people could fit in the main square of Plasencia during a concert.
-The order of numbers in the street and in the main square. In the main square the numbers are in order, but in a street the even numbers are in one side and the odd numbers are in the other side.
